Buckner Gap is at the top of this photo, with Waste Area #2 to the north of the gap itself. The cut is now complete and is over 300' deep. The big piles of material in the waste site is aggregate used to cover the completed roadway, and riprap for erosion control. Earth material is also being removed from the waste site to finish the project. Photo taken in June 2001.
