This photo, taken just west of Truck Escape Ramp #2, shows the two big cuts at Buckner Gap, the alignment, and the Laurel Creek Bridge in the upper left corner. The #2 Waste Site is visible in the center of the photo, and near the bottom you can see some of the aggregate base already in place. Photo taken in November 2001 by NCDOT's Photogrammetry Unit.
