Now in operation, vehicles coming from Mars Hill wanting to go north toward Tennessee now take this relocation over to Higgins Branch Road and underneath the interstate to US 23. This relocation eliminated two bridges on the interstate. Jarvis Road will intersect Higgins Branch Road right above the truck, to the left of the small hill. Picture taken in February 1999.
