This is the second column from the south at Laurel Creek, and it will eventually be about 100' high. The distance between this column and the next one is about 250' due to the presence of both the secondary road and Laurel Creek. This column had to be at least 25' from the stream since it is a trout stream, and a wall built on the uphill side to keep any possible landslides from putting lateral pressure on the column. The temporary stream crossing will be removed once the bridge is completed. Photo taken in January 2000.
