On the southernmost end of A-10D is the largest cut on either project, measured at over 600' from the top to the gradepoint. Fortunately it is not a total cut but instead is a side hill excavation. A rock buttress to the left was required to preserve Little Laurel Creek, and is over 200' high by itself. A construction road has been cut to the north end of the Laurel Creek Bridge to allow work to begin on that end of the structure. Photo taken in late May 2000.
