The rock nail wall at the top of Buckner Gap on the east has to be anchored into solid rock below it. Here you can see how this will be done. The metal rods are drilled into the rock and then wired together. This will provide a solid base for the wall and keep it from sliding off if there was a large shift in the loose rock the wall is designed to stabilize.
