Construction of the Higgins Road Bridges on the south end of
A-10C.
The contractor is working on the southern end bent for the two bridges
on the right side of the photograph. The northern end bent and the two
interior sets of columns are already built. Once the remaining end
bent
is constructed, the deck will begin to be placed. The two bridges
taper
toward each other from south to north as the highway median narrows
from
46' south of the bridges to 22' north of them. Each bridge has its own
alignment and grade to provide the contractor accurate information
through
this critical area.
