This is the slope at the end of the southern most escape ramp on the project. The escape ramp ends on a fill over 100' high and slopes down to a pipe inlet at the bottom of the embankment. The stone at the bottom of the fill is riprap to keep water from eroding the base of the slope. Note the mountains in the background, and the lush green grass on the slope. This escape ramp is about half a mile from the bottom of the 6% downgrade. Photo taken in April 2001.
