This is the right hand side of Cut #2, which is just south of Buckner Gap. This side is about 150' high and the rock slope is about 90' of that. A rock fence and planter can be seen at the base of the slope. The fence is 15' from the travel lanes and a 30' wide catchment area is behind it to stop any rocks falling off the slope. Two feet of stone is in the catchment area to further cushion any rockfall and keep them from bouncing. Photo taken in April 2001.
