The concrete decking on the Laurel Creek Bridge. The northern end has been poured, and a portion of it has plastic covering it to allow it to cure adequately. The structure spanning the width of the bridge supports a roller device that smooths the wet concrete and shapes the crown of the road on the structure itself. Some of the reinforcing steel can be seen on top of the deck, and the wheeled contraption on the left is an auxiliary concrete pump with hoses to get the concrete where it is needed. Photo taken in June 2001.
