One of the construction workers crosses an energy dissipater built at the end of a large pipe outlet on project A-10C. All the pipe outlets that open onto streams have these dissipaters, which are built out of large stone and designed to break up the water velocity before it reaches a natural stream. The large boulder in this one rolled down from the fill slope above the dissipater and was later removed. Photo taken August 1998.
