View of the large cut just to the south of Buckner Gap on project A-10C. Most of the blasting is taking place in this area; the vertical cut to the right of center is about 75' high and was removed a few days after this picture was taken. Just barely visible as a bump above the ridge is one of the rigs drilling holes for the explosives. Over to the left and above the ridge is the beginnings of the completed cut slope; from the top of that finished slope down to the haul road is about 250'. The excavation has to still go down about 230' more in this area.
