This photo shows the current location North Main Street, (SR 1609), and the beginning of project A-10C. When completed, North Main Street will be relocated to the left of the trees and over to Higgins Branch Road, which is just over the hill. The existing road will be covered by about 60' of fill. In the background can be seen the excavation at Buckner Gap, about four miles north from this site. Photo taken in October 1998.
