The dark area of embankment is the northern end of project A-10BB. The sunlit area just past that embankment is the start of project A- 10C. The location the picture was taken from was the relocated route for US 23; since then US 23 has been moved to its permanent alignment closer to the construction. Way back in the distance can be seen the excavation near Buckner Gap, about 4.5 miles away. Photo taken October 1998.
